Nagpur Test: Katich, Hussey lead the way, as India struggle
The fourth and final test match between India and Australia in Nagpur is evenly poised at the end of second day's play. In reply to India's first innings total of 441, Australia finished at 189/2, with Simon Katich batting on 92 and Hussey on 45. Ironically, while debutant spinner Jason Krejza took 8 wickets in India's first innings, the Indian spinner Harbhajan and Amit Mishra struggled to take any wicket.
Harbhajan was the lone wicket taker of the day. He claimed Ricky Ponting - his 300th test wicket. Harbhajan became the third Indian bowler after Kapil Dev (434) and Anil Kumble (619) to take 300 wickets in test cricket. Matthew Hayden was run out by a direct throw from Murali Vijay. If India allow Australia to score past 400, it could be difficult for the home team to save the match and series. The test is still wide open with three more days to go. However, there is little doubt it will produce a result.
