Sachin becomes first Cricketer to complete 12,000 runs in Test Cricket
Sachin Tendulkar achieved yet another milestone by becoming the first cricketer to complete 12,000 runs in test cricket. He made 88 in the first innings of Mohali test against Australia. Sachin was looking all set to score his 40th test century, but he fell towards the end of day's play. Debutant Siddle took his wicket. Sourav Ganguly too completed 7,000 runs in test cricket. He still remains unbeaten on 54, as India finished the day on 311/5.
Earlier, India was on verge of a batting collapse and slumped to 163/4 from 146/1. Gambhir made 67, while Sehwag and Dravid scored 35 and 39 respectively. Laxman managed to score just 12. Sachin and Sourav added 142 runs for the fifth wicket. For Australia, Johnson claimed 3 wickets. India is in command now and will be looking forward to score 500 in the first innings so that they could put pressure on the Aussies.
