Team India raise questions on Umpires' Referral System

The newly introduced Umpires' Referral System or "Review" has gone into controversy, as Team India raised strong questions on its effectiveness. Ironically, India, which became the first country to use the review system, has been the worst sufferer with too many bad decision went against them.

Rahul Dravid was unlucky to given out through referral system in the both innings of the second test at Galle. In the second innings, the TV Umpire ruled him out after 3 minutes 56 seconds, even though there was no conclusive evidence to suggest that he was out. Team India has raised objections on the time taken by the TV umpire to take a decision and urged the match referee to fix a time limit for the review.
