Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan, ICC Task Force to evaluate Security

Putting all speculations and rumours into rest, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided that ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan as per the schedule. The decision was taken after the PCB assured the ICC about safety and security of the players.

The ICC has formed a Task Force, which will evaluate security in Pakistan before the tournament and a decision will be taken as per their findings. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) thanked India for its unequivocal support on hosting the Champions Trophy, even as many countries turned against it due to security concerns.
