Asia Cup 2008: Sri Lanka humbles Bangladesh by 131 runs

Kumar Sangakkara's brilliant century helped Sri Lanka score a comprehensive victory over Bangladesh. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. They put up 357/9 in 50 overs. Sangakkara was the top scorer with 101. Jayasuriya made 72, while Kapugedera made 74. For Bangladesh, Razzak took 3 wickets, while Mortaza and Hossain took 2 wickets each.
Chasing a victory target of 358, Bangladesh finished at 226/7 in 50 overs. For Bangladesh, Mushfiq Rahim (44), Raqibul Hasan (35), Mashrafe Mortaza (34*),Alok Kapali (30) and Abdur Razzak (22 not out) were the top contributors. Muralitharan took 2 wickets for Sri Lanka. Sangakkara was declared "Man of the Match".
