Sunil Gavaskar quits as Chairman of ICC's Cricket Committee

Breaking News! Legendary Sunil Gavaskar has quit as the Chairman of ICC's Cricket Committee. A tug-of-war was going on between Gavaskar and the ICC over his dual role as the ICC official and an independent commentator and columnist. Gavaskar had criticized the Australia and England Boards as well as the Australian cricketers after the racism row involving Harbhajan and Symonds in Australia.

The ICC had taken a strong exception to Gavaskar's comments and asked him to explain his position. Gavaskar's exit from the ICC was almost certain, as the ICC did not want him to continue as a Commentator and Columnist while holding the ICC post.

Gavaskar has had to quit for defending Harbhajan?

I hope he realizes it wasn't worth it. Harbhajan has proved himself a liar and in Australia he had the Indian team lie for him. Now, look at the results.
