Mumbai Indians bounce back, beat Delhi DareDevils

Mumbai Indians, even without Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh, bounced back in the IPL, with an emphatic 29-run victory over Delhi DareDevils. They outsmarted the DareDevils in all departments of the game. Batting first, the Mumbai Indians scored 162/8 in 20 overs. Jayasuriya made 34, while Pollock contributed 33. Thornely and Uthappa contributed 30 and 22 respectively. For DareDevils, Yo Mahesh took 3 wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 163, DareDevils lost in-form Gambhir and S Dhawan cheaply. Although Sehwag scored 40 off 20 balls, other batsmen failed to rise to the occasions and the entire team bundled out for 133 in 18.4 overs. Villiers made 21, while Karthik and S Malik contributed 28 and 24 respectively. For Mumbai Indians, Nehra took 3 wickets, while Pollock and Kulkarni took 2 wickets each.

There is no doubt that both teams played good cricket. But I think that it was Sehwag’s wicket that helped Mumbai Indians win the match. Otherwise it would have been the other way. I am sure that DaredDevils would certainly bounce back. With Sehwag’s captaincy and the perfect team combination they will win the IPL. btw they also have their own blog where they blog about their team players and matches. http://www.delhidaredevils.com/blog/
