Blame Game begins within Royal Challengers, Mallya takes on Dravid

The Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya has taken on skipper Rahul Dravid and sacked CEO Charu Sharma over the team's poor performance in the ongoing IPL. Mallya went to the extent of blaming Dravid for the poor composition of the team, which has no Twenty20 specialists. Instead, it turned out to be test squad. Mallya regretted for being absent during the selection process. He also said that trusting Charu and Dravid on the team selection was the biggest mistake.

Mallya said that he had a seprate list of players, but Dravid and Charu Sharma prevailed on him to get their own set of players. Mallya also took the credit for bringing in Misbah-ul Haq despite objections from Dravid and Charu Sharma. Meanwhile, sacked CEO Charu Sharma backed Rahul Dravid, saying he had enormous experience in playing cricket. He also denied any role in the selection of the team and said he just backed his captain, coach and senior players.
