Sreesanth, Ishant help India take 60-run lead over South Africa
India managed to take a crucial 60-run lead over South Africa in Kanpur test, thanks to the heroics of last Indian pair Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma. They defied the South African bowling attack and managed to add 37 more runs to the Indian total. India finally bowled out for 325, thus taking a 60-run lead over South Africa. Sreesanth remained unbeaten on 29. For South Africa, Steyn, Morkel and Harris took 3 wickets each.
In an interesting move, Dhoni launched the Indian attack with Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma. It had a damaging impact on the mindset of South African batsmen. They were taken aback by this unprecedented move. The result was expected. Although they tried hard to cope with the pressure, they lost two wickets just before lunch. Sreesanth took McKenzie's wicket, while Harbhajan claimed Amla's wicket. South Africa were 27/2 at lunch.
