1) Shoaib Akhtar appeals against the ban

Shoaib Akhtar has formally filed an appeal with the Pakistan Cricket Board against the five-year ban imposed on him. Shoaib along with his lawyers reached PCB headquarters and submitted the necessary documents. The lawyers asked the board to give them a copy of the detailed judgement of the disciplinary committee by Monday.

2) Haroon Lorgat appointed ICC CEO

South Africa's Haroon Lorgan has been appointed as the CEO of International Cricket Council. Lorgan was offered the job, after the ICC CEO-elect Imtiaz Patel declined to take up the job for personal reasons.
