Kanpur Pitch comes under ICC Scanner, BCCI in Trouble

As expected, the controversial Kanpur wicket has come under the ICC scanner. After match referee Roshan Mahanama complained against the 'under-prepared' Kanpur wicket, where India won the match within 3 days. The ICC shot off a letter to the BCCI for an explanation in this matter.

The dusty pitch, cracks and uneven bounce proved too difficult for the batsmen to bat on that wicket. Sourav Ganguly was the lone batsman to excel on that pitch with a well-made 87. If the ICC finds BCCI's response unsatisfactory, it can even ban Kanpur from hosting any international matches.
