Harbhajan-Sreesanth fallout: Umpire Amish Saheba suspended for 2 IPL matches

The slapgate controversy involving Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth shows no sign of dying down, as BCCI suspended umpire Amish Saheba for his remarks against Sreesanth. Saheba said that he and his co-umpire Aleem Darr cautioned Sreesanth several times in that fateful match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab.

According to Saheba, Sreesanth had resorted to excessive sledging against the Mumbai Indians players. The BCCI took a strong exception to Saheba's comments in the media and suspended hi for two IPL matches. He was issued a show cause notice. After the ban on Harbhajan, pressure is mounting on the BCCI to act tough against Sreesanth, who has been taunting and sledging the opponents on the filed consistently.

Meanwhile, South African coach Mike Arthur made a sensational revelation. He said that Sreesanth continued to taunt and abuse South African players during the Kanpur test. According to Arthur, Sreesanth even got personal with A B De Villiers. Arthur also revealed that Harbhajan Singh had an altercation with Prince and he even apologized to Prince in presence of match referee. If such volatile players play against each other, anything can happen and that exactly happened at Mohali.
