Breaking News! Shoaib Akhtar banned for 5 Years

Breaking News! Pakistan's speedster Shoaib Akhtar, has been banned from International cricket for 5 years. The decision was taken by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) a few hours ago. Akhtar was on two-year probation for hitting Mohammad Asif with a cricket bat. He recently criticized the PCB for not giving him a central playing contract.

The Pakistan Board was critical of Shoaib's attitude and indiscipline and felt that his service was no longer required. The PCB also said that Shoaib's presence would have damaging effect on Pakistan team and the image of Pakistan cricket.

The decision virtually ended Shoaib's illustrious cricket career. Although he can still appeal against the decision, it is unlikely that he would return to Pakistan team. However, he can play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

You'd think with no contract the players' code of conduct wouldn't apply to him.

I can hear lawyers shuffling files already.
