Ban on Shoaib Akhtar upheld
The PCB has rejected Shoaib Akhtar's appeal against a five-year ban imposed on him by the board. The three-member Appellate Tribunal took the decision in Lahore. The tribunal believed that Shoaib continued to violate the code of conduct issued by the PCB. The order was interim and a final decision is expected soon. The only solace for Shoaib came, as the PCB allowed him to play overseas including the IPL. However, BCCI confirmed that Shoaib still can't play in the IPL.

There seems to be some underhandedness occurring in this situation. I believe all that Shoaib has said about this situation and what has happened to him in the past (extortion, match fixing, etc). The PCB is being extremely unfair to him and are trying to ruin him (most likely for personal reasons).
Honestly, he should forget the PCB, IPL, and BCCI and play for the rebel league ICL instead. He has proved himself to be a rebel.
