South African batsmen make India toil in Chennai Test

South African batsmen did not let the advantage of batting first on a flat wicket and scored 304/4 at stumps on the first day of the Chennai test. McKenzie was the top scorer with 94. While Smith made 74, Hashim Amla remained unbeaten on 85. For India, Kumble and Harbhajan took 2 wickets each. Both RP Singh and S Sreesanth failed to make any impact.
