Sachin set Sydney on Fire, India wins the First Final

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar clinched a famous victory for India over the mighty Australia. India drew the first blood by winning the first final of the "Best of Three" in Sydney by 6 wickets. It was a comprehensive victory for Team India, as they never looked vulnerable in the match. The credit goes to Sachin Tendulkar, who led from the front, scored his 42nd ODI century (and first on the Australian soil), and remained unbeaten till end.

Chasing a victory target of 240, Indian batting order looked fragile, when the lost 3 wickets for 87 runs. But Sachin and Rohit Sharma batted superbly to ensure an Indian win. Rohit Sharma made 66. India scored 242/4 in 45.5 overs. Sachin Tendulkar remained unbeaten on 117. This is India's first victory over Australia in Sydney. Sachin Tendulkar was declared 'Man of the Match' for his brilliant innings.

Ponting after his usual struggle that we ’ve seen on this tour was released when Praveen struck again. Have you noticed that he has stopped sledging? Well it was left to the “obnoxious little weed” Harbhajan Singh to remove some other obnoxious big weeds - He removed both Symonds and Hayden.
