Mega Final in Brisbane: India sets a Victory Target of 259 for Australia

It's a do-or-die game for Australia. If they win, they will lose their reputation forever and Australian fans will be baying for their blood. In the second final in Brisbane, India looked good to cross the 300-mark or at least 280. But super bowling and fielding by the Australians in the last 10 overs changed the course of the game.

Once Sachin departed in the 40th over, Australia regained firm control of the game and manged to restrict India to 258/9 in 50 overs. Sachin scored 91. Uthappa scored 30, while Yuvraj contributed 38. Dhoni fought hard to score 36. For Australia, Bracken and Clarke took 3 wickets each. On a slow and turning wicket, Australia has an uphill task of reaching the target of 259. The onus lies on Gilchrist, Hayden, Ponting and Symonds. If they fire, Australia can sigh a huge relief until the third final.
