Chennai Test heading for a Draw

Be it India or South Africa, batsmen continued to torment the bowlers in Chennai Test. In reply to South Africa's first innings score of 540, India piled up 627. There was a dramatic middle order collapse, which prevented India from posting much bigger total. Sehwag was the top scorer for India with 319.

Dravid, who became the third Indian and sixth in the world to score 10,000 test runs, made 111. Jaffer had scored 73 on the second day. No other Indian batsmen failed to make any impact, as Sehwag and Dravid stole the show. For South Africa, Steyn took 4 wickets. Ntini and Harris took 3 wickets each. South Africa began their second innings on a strong note and lost only Smith's wicket at the end of fourth day's play. South Africa were 131/1 at stumps. McKenzie remained unbeaten on 59.
