Sri Lanka posts fighting total, Dramatic batting order collapse for Australia

Sri Lankan batsmen recovered well to post a fighting total on board in the last group encounter against Australia in Melbourne. Jayawardene scored 50, while Dilshan contributed 62. Silva too made 35. Sri Lanka bowled out for 221 in 50 overs. For Australia, Bracken took 4 wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 221, Australia started well and reached 107 without the loss of any wicket. However, there was a dramatic batting order collapse and Australia slumped to 115/5 in 20 overs. Gilchrist was the top scorer with 83 off 50 balls. Australia were 117/5 in 22.2 overs when reports last came in.
