Sri Lanka in back foot in the inconsequential tie against Australia

Sri Lanka, already out of the CB tri-series, takes on Australia in the last group encounter, which is more or less inconsequential. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they began their innings on a disastrous note. With only 46 runs on board in 15 overs, Perera, Jayasuriya and Sangakkara all returned to pavilion. Sri Lanka were 47/3 in 16 overs when reports last came in.
