INDIA TV: Sourav Ganguly to get Rs. 6.9 Crore in IPL

The IPL auction held in Mumbai, made Mahendra Singh Dhoni the highest paid player in the IPL. Even Sachin Tendulkar and Ganguly received less money than him. Dhoni got the highest bid of Rs. 6 crore. But Shahrukh Khan, the sponsor of Kolkata team know what Sourav Gaguly actually deserves. He has decided to pay Rs. 6.9 crore to Ganguly.

That means, Ganguly will become the highest paid player in the IPL, but not officially, as it goes against the rules. SRK will have to explore other means to pay Ganguly more. It was reported by INDIA TV.

It is expected that Mumbai team's sponsor Anil Ambani would do justice to Sachin Tendulkar, who would get only Rs. 4.5 crore, 15% more than Sanat Jayasuriya, the highest paid player in the team.
