Pollock retires, hits winning run in Final Match

Herschelle Gibbs' blazing century helped South Africa win the rain-curtailed match against West Indies at Johannesberg and win the series 5-0. However, it was Shaun Pollock who stole the show. It was Pollock's last ODI and he got a fitting farewell, as he hit the winning run. He remained unbeaten on 10. Gibbs made 102, while Kallis remained unbeaten on 74, as South Africa chased 211 in 31 overs with eight wickets and 13 balls to spare.

Pollock got a standing ovation from his teammates and the crowd. During his 13-year career, he played 108 Tests and 303 ODIs. He took 393 wickets in ODI and 421 wickets in Tests. He also scored 3519 runs in one-day internationals and 3781 runs in Tests.
