Live Cricket from Australia: The High Voltage Commonwealth Bank Tri-series kicks off

The much awaited high voltage Commonwealth Bank tri-series finally kicked off. In the first one-dayer at Brisbane, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Ricky Ponting has been cleared to play the first match - a huge relief for the Australians. However, there will be no Yuvraj for India. Raina too was excluded from the playing XI, while "all-rounder" Manoj Tiwary makes his ODI debut. Let's catch the excitement live........

Sachin Tendulkar, very unfortunate. His boot hit the stumps while playing the shot. Sachin was out hit wicket. He got out in this manner for the first time in his career. India 26/2. Sachin scored 10.

Australia on a roll, Pathan lost rhythm. Hopes hit 4 boundaries in a Pathan over. 18 runs from that over. Australia 29/0 in 3 overs.

Gilchrist out. Showed great sportsmanship and walked even though umpire did not rule him out. Australia 33/1 in 4 overs, when rain stopped the play again.
