It's a Tie: England, New Zealand play the most Exciting Match of Cricket History

Remember the 400-plus run chase made by South Africa against mighty Austrralia? That match has been considered as the most exciting match of the cricket history. But today's match between England and New Zealand, provided far more excitement and anxious moments to the millions of cricket viewers in the world.

Nobody emerged victorious. Yes, it was a tie! But, both teams scored 340 runs each. Just imagine the excitement and fun! England, trailed 1-2 in the series, batted first and posted 6 wickets in 50 overs. Cook scored 69, while Mustard made a brilliant 83. Bell contributed 43, while Pieterson made 50. Collingwood remained unbeaten on 54. For New Zealand, Vettori and Ryder took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a victory target of 340, New Zealand looked certain to win the match, thanks to How's 139 and McCullum's 58. Taylor too contributed 48. However, the team lost their way after 43rd over. At one stage, New Zealand were 301/3 in 43.1 overs. But they lost quick wickets and their batsmen failed to play big shots. The team managed to score only 6 runs in the final over. In the end, New Zealand finished at 340/7. For England, Broad took 2 wickets. Match tied and New Zealand leads the five match series 2-1.
