Ishant fined, Symonds let off, Team India protests
The Match Referee Jeff Crowe found Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma guilty of Level 1.6, as he showed a send-off finger to Andrew Symonds after claiming his wicket in the Sydney ODI. Ishant will be fined 15 percent of his match fee. However, surprisingly, the New Zeland Match Referee did not penalize Andrew Symonds, though he was involved in a verbal duel with the bowler and in fact, provoked him to make that gesture. The Indian team management has lodged a strong complaint on this issue. The team, in a written letter to Jeff Crowe, wanted to know why Symonds was let off despite provoking Ishant. In addition, the team wanted a curb on the sledging strategy adopted by the Aussies. Certainly, the Indian team management has taken the matter very seriously, as the ICC umpires and match referees always go soft on the Australians.

Channel 9 in Australia had the microphone on Symonds when he spoke to Ishant. All he said was "well bowled!". Probably didn't warrant the response.
Lol!!!! Channel 9 had another tape, which reveals what Symonds said. He said, "Well bowled bastard, I am going to f**k for this. You will be battered and bruised by every Australian on and off field. Fight me if you have guts, f**king ass!I will kill you with my bat"..........
