India humbles Australia in Melbourne, leads the Point Tally

The Indian young guns roared like lions and packed the Kangaroos off. India won the CB tri-series match in Melbourne by 5 wickets with 25 balls to spare. Chasing a victory target of 160, India looked vulnerable at one stage with 102/5 on board. However, young Rohit Sharma and skipper Dhoni denied the Australians any more wicket and saw India home.

For India Sachin scored 44, while Gambhir contributed 21. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 39. Ishant Sharma was declared "Man of the Match". India now leads the table with 8 points followed by Australia (6) and Sri Lanka (2). India registered a win at MCG, Melbourne after 22 years.
