Australian players to lodge protest over Harbhajan Verdict
The controversies involving Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh are far from over. The latest reports suggest that Australian players are feeling completely let down by Cricket Australia over this issue and are planning to lodge an official protest with the board. The players were forced to back down on the charges against Harbhajan. They were assured by the board officials that there would be more scope to prosecute Harbhajan if the charges against him were downgraded. However, the Indian walked away with a minor penalty. That infuriated the Australians including skipper Ricky Ponting. It could be recalled that even CA chief James Sutherland had expressed disappointment over the verdict.
