Australia batsmen gave a fitting reply to Virender Sehwag's mind game, as they scored at a faster pace on the fourth day of the Adelaide test. Australia finally bowled out for 563, thus taking a 37 run lead over India. Matthew Hayden scored 103, while Ricky Ponting played a brilliant innings of 140. Michale Clark too made 118.

For India, Ishant Sharma and Irfan Pathan took 3 wickets each, while Sehwag took 2 wickets. The test match is heading towards a tame draw.
