Symnods accuses Harbhajan of racial abuse
In a sensational development, Australian batsman Andrew Symonds has accused Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh of racial abuse on the third day of the second test match at Sydney. Harbhajan has been reported by umpires Steve Buckner and Mark Benson under clause 3.3 of the International Cricket Council code of conduct.If proved guilty, Harbhajan could be banned for the remainder of the Test series against Australia. According to Symonds, Harbhajan reminded Symonds of the "monkey chant" he had to face in India. Australian captain Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden and other were agitated over the incident and reported the matter to the on-field umpires. Next hearing would take place tomorrow. Both Harbhajan and the Indian team management would attend the proceedings.
