Rogers was unlucky to be given out
Chris Rogers, who made his test debut at Perth, got a poor decision, as umpire Asad Rauf yet again succumbed to pressure and gave him LBW off Pathan's delivery. Pathan's vociferous forced Asad Rauf raise his finger, while the TV replays showed that ball was going down leg side.It could be recalled that Rauf had made a similar mistake when he adjudged Sachin Tendulkar LBW off Brett Lee's delivery. Since it's a high profile contest and the Sydney test controversies have not died down yet, umpires are bound to feel pressure. However, they need to be cautious while raising their fingers.
