Perth Test: India wins toss, bats first

Indian skipper Anil Kumble surprised everyone by opting to bat first after winning the toss in the third test match at Perth. Everyone expected Kumble to field first on a juicy green turf. But Kumble took a bold decision. It is to be seen how the Indian batsment justify their skipper's decision.

India has dropped Yuvraj and Harbhajan from the squad and brought in Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan. Australia replaced Brad Hogg with fast bowler Shaun Tait and brought in Chris Rogers in place of injured Hayden. For India, Jaffer and Sehwag will open the innings.
