Kumble, Ponting call 'truce', India drops charges against Brad Hogg
In a significant development that may bring relief to millions of cricket lovers in the world, Indian skipper Anil Kumble and his Australian counterpart Ricky Ponting have called truce in the presence of ICC Referee Ranjan Madhugale who was sent by the ICC to mediate between the warring teams. Both Anil Kumble and Ricky Ponting expressed satisfaction over the talks and maintained that all differences have been sorted out. Kumble sais, it's time to move on with the game. He also said that Perth will mark a new beginning between the relations between both teams.
The latest reports suggest that India has withdrawn all charges made against Austrralian spinner Brad Hogg. Hogg allegedly called Kumble and Dhoni as "Bas***ds" on the last day of the Sydney test. Since India has taken an initiative by withdrawing charges against Hogg, it is expected that Australia will reciprocate by withdrawing the charges against Harbhajan Singh. The pact may have been reached between the skippers in the meeting.
