Justice John Hansen appointed as Appeals' Commissioner

The ICC has appointed New Zealand's High Court Judge Justice John Hansen as the Appeal's Commissioner who will hear Harbhajan Singh's appeal against a three-test ban imposed against him for alleged racist remarks. Justice Hansen will now make preparations for the appeal hearing.

According to the common procedure, the appeal should be heard within seven days of the commissioner being appointed/ However, the time period may be extended if necessary. Justice Hansen will conduct the hearing using his own power and his decision will be final and binding. Harbhajan Singh will continue to play until the verdict of the appeal is pronounced.
