Revolution in Cricket History: IPL Auction winners declared

The bidding process at the high profile Indian Premier League (IPL) received a huge responses from bidders across the country. Industrialists like Mukesh Ambani and Vijay Mallya and film stars Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta were among the winners.

While Mukesh Ambani won the bid for the Mumbai team for $111.9 million, Vijay Mallya won the bid for the Bangalore team for $111.6 million. Bids of the ICICI Bank, Sahara and Futures Group were disqualified.

Bangalore Team: Vijay Mallya - UB Group ($111.6 million or Rs 446 crore)

Delhi Team: GMR Holding ($84 million or Rs 336 crore.)

Hyderabad Team: The Deccan Chronicle ($107.01 million or Rs 428 crore)

Kolkata Team: Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta - Red Chillies Entertainment ($75.09 million or Rs 300.36 crore)

Mohali Team: Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia ($76 million or Rs 304 crore)

Chennai Team: India Cements ($91 million or Rs 364 crore)
