ICC pulls up Australian Cricketers

Australia is a superpower in cricket. They are the World Champs. Nobody doubts their cricketing skills and even players across the world take a cue from their game. But when it comes to bad behavior, sledging and arrogance, Australian cricketers come to the foray again. The recently concluded Sydney test exposed the real attitude of the Australian cricketers before their own countrymen and the world. Even the ICC Chief Malcolm Speed had to step in.

The ICC has urged Cricket Australia to reign in its cricketers in view of the widespread criticism of their on-field behavior in the Sydney test. ICC CEO Malcolm Speed asked the Cricket Australia (CA) to take notice of the criticism being directed at its team by the public, former players and commentators.

Talking to the Herald Sun, Speed said, "All national teams should play cricket in the right spirit. We need to be clear what that means". It vindicated Indian skipper Anil Kumble's statement that only one team played in the true spirit of the game.
