Ghost of Poor Umpiring: Sachin got a poor decision at Perth
On the very first day of Perth test match, Pakistan's umpire Asad Rauf made a blunder by giving Sachin Tendulkar LBW when the ball was going much above the stumps. Sachin was batting brilliantly and the Australians were clueless how to remove him. But the bullying tactics of the Australians again played the trick. Brett Lee appealed vociferously and Rauf raised the finger. Not only cricket fans, but also the commentators felt disappointed that umpiring standard did not improve even after a big controversy that shocked the cricket world and saw Steve Bucknor booted out. Sachin was batting on 71, when he got out. It could be a turning point in this game and might change the course of the game.

Oh well, now you've got your excuse when you lose.
How many more before you'll be demanding that Asad Rauf goes home?
Or will your next demand be to stop the Aussies appealing?
Mr. Anonymous is a biased Australian fan. Let him/her be...
Just hoping that this match at Perth does not repeat any of the hideousness that we saw at Sydney.
Also, Sachin is probably used to bad decisions by now. Every other time he lost his wicket was due to bad decisions. A few came when he was in his 90s. Nothing new there...
Yep, I can understand the feelings of this Australian fan. Hopefully, we won't see another Sydney at Perth. It's an irony that Sachin always get poor decisions.
We are not blaming Asad Rauf. Such mistakes do occur. But when it goes against any in-form and well set batsman, that hurts.
Now, it has been proved that ICC needs to rethink on the appointment of its elite panel umpires. Umpiring standard has reached a new low and they must get proper training by veteran umpires who are retired now.
Also, the use of technology is a must in the current scenario. We need to take maximum benefits from the technology available to us.
