Australia tour to continue, but BCCI talks tough

The BCCI has decided that India's Australia tour will continue despite the current controversies. While BCCI has welcomed ICC's decision to remove Steve Bucknor from the series, it has taken a tough stand on the racial charges made against Harbhajan Singh.

The BCCI has made it clear that it would not settle for anything less than the revocation of the ban on Harbhajan and a clean chit to him on the racial charges. The board condemned the ban and termed it as totally unacceptable. The BCCI also called the racial charges against Harbhajan "baseless" and "obnoxious".
The working committee meeting of the BCCI also decided that current tour to Australia and other related developments would be reviewed continuously. The BCCI Chief Sharad Pawar has been given the authority to take decision in the best interest of the country and cricket. the BCCI urged the ICC to resolve the Harbhajan issue at the earliest.
