Adelaide test ended in a draw, Australia win the series 2-1

As expected, the fourth and final test between India and Australia ended in a tame draw. Both captains decided to stop the game when they were assured that no result was possible in this test. At that stage, India were 269/7. Virender Sehwag made a brilliant 151 to help India reach the safe zone. He had made 63 in the first innings besides taking 2 wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar was adjudged "Man of the Match" and Brett Lee bagged the "Man of the Series" award for his 24 wickets in four matches. Australia won the series 2-1 and retained Gavaskar-Border Trophy.
