Selection for Australia Tour deferred, 24 Probables named

The unprecedented injury problem facing by Indian cricket team forced the selectors to defer the selection process for the forthcoming Australian tour. Currently, Sreesanth, R P Singh, Munaf Patel and Zaheer Khan are struggling to regain fitness. The selectors picked up a 24-member list of probables. Anil Kumble has been retained as the captain for the Australian tour. The final team selection will be made on December 12.

In another interesting development, pacers VRV Singh and Irfan Pathan have been included in the Indian team for the third test match against Pakistan in Bangalore. Ishant Sharma also got a place in the team. They will replace injured Munaf and Zaheer.
