It's Official: Kirstens gives consent to be India's Coach

Former South African opener Gary Kirsten gave his consent to be India's next cricket coach. He conveyed the acceptance of the offer to BCCI. The contract would be for two years and would begin from March 1, 2008. However, he would still join the Indian team in the middle of its Australian tour as a consultant.

Kirsten expressed satisfaction with the terms of conditions put forth by the BCCI and said he feels honored to be coach of such a great cricket team.
