India creates World Record in conceding Extras

India achieved a dubious distinction of giving maximum number of extra runs in an innings of a test match. India conceded 76 runs during Pakistan's first innings in Bangalore test. Previous world record was held by West Indies with a tally of 71 extra runs ( bye : 35, leg bye : 26 and no ball : 15).

India's stand-by wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik too achieved a dubious world record by conceding maximum number of bye runs by any Indian wicket keeper. He broke Buddhi Kundaran's record. Karthik's final tally read as 35.
