Vengsarkar bows down, not to write columns

The stand-off between BCCI and Chief Selector Dilip Vengsarkar seems to be resolved with Vengsarkar giving an assurance to the board that he would no long er write columns in newspapers. Vengsarkar had a long meeting with BCCI President Sharad Pawar and other top officials to resolve the issue.

After the latest development, the BCCI decided not to send any show-cause notice to Vengsarkar. According to BCCI sources, Vengsarkar would be compensated for the loss of money he was getting from writing those columns.
