Yuvraj's World Record helped India beat England
Yuvraj Singh was in news just a few days back, when he was hit by five successive sixes by Dimitri Mascaranas of England in an ODI. Now, it's paid back time and Yuvraj did it in style. In the penultimate over of Indian innings, he hit Stuart Broad for six consecutive sixes. It happened for the first time in a Twenty20 match. Yuvraj scored the fastest fifty in any format of cricket game when he reached hit fifty off only 12 balls.India won the toss and elected to bat first. Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag added 136 off 14.5 overs. Sehwag scored 68, while Gambhir made 58. Yuvraj led the final assualt and finished at 58 off 16 balls with 7 sixes. India made 218/4 in 20 overs. In reply, England started well, riding on luck on missed catches of Indian fielders, but fell short of the target. It came close, but finished at 200/6 in 20 overs. Solanki made 43, while Pieterson contributed 39. Yuvraj was declared "Man of the Match".
Later, Yuvraj acknowledged that his assault was based very much on vengeance. He was not only haunted by Mascaranas, but also spurred by Andrew Flintoff's remarks in the 18th over the match.
