Win for Pakistan and New Zealand at Twenty20 WC

Both New Zealand and Pakistan won their Twenty20 matches in style. It was a cakewalk for the Kiwis, as they overcame the challenge of a lowly Kenya. Put into bat, Kenya were bowled out for 73 in 16.5 overs. Shane Bond, Chris Martin and Daniel Vettori picked up two wickets each. New Zeland reached the target in just 7.4 overs losing just one wicket.

In another match, Pakistan beat Scotland by 51 runs. Pakistan scored 171/9 in 20 overs. Younis Khan top-scored with 41. In reply, Scotland were bowled out for 120 in 19.5 overs. Fraser watts scored 46. Leg-spinner Afridi took four for 19 and fast bowler Gul claimed four for 25.
