South Africa beat Bangaldesh

South Africa, determined to break the World Cup jinx, prevented any sort of miracle and beat Bangaldesh by 7 wickets. South Africa won the toss and decided to field first. Bangladesh batsmen launched the onslaught on South African bowlers, but failed to capitalize in the end. The team was bowled out for 144 in 19.3 overs. Aftab Ahmed made 35 off 14 balls.

South Africa started the run chase on a solid note and never looked threatened by the Bangladesh bowlers. They reached the target with seven balls to spare. Duminy made 36 and Smith 41. Albie Morkel contributed 41.
