Shoaib sent back Home after brawl with Asif
Pakistan Pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been sent home from South Africa after he was found hitting fellow fast bowler Mohammad Asif during a dressing room brawl. The PCB decided to recall Shoaib with immediate effect after an initial inquiry. Shoaib struck Asif on his leg with a bat after a heated argument inside the dressing room.Although Asif suffered a bruised thigh during the clash, he is expected to be fit for the opening game of the Twenty20 World Cup. Pakistan will play its first game against Scotland on Wednesday in Durban. Later, Shoaib apologized to Asif for the unfortunate incident and blamed Shahid Afridi for provoking him. He also took on the media for seeing him as a soft target. The PCB has ordered a further probe into the incident.
