Shashank Manohar named BCCI President

Nagpur-based lawyer Shashank Manohar, was declared the President of the BCCI. He will succeed Sharad Pawar next year. Pawar will quit the post in September 2008, as he will assume charge as the President of ICC. The decision was taken at the 78th AGM of the Board.

The president of Goa Cricket Association (GCA) and Finance Minister, Mr. Dayanand Narvekar, was elected as the vice-president of BCCI for the third consecutive time.
