Sensational Victory for Team India at Oval

It's an incredible win for Team India. Defying all the odds, India successfully chased a record total of 316 to win the match and level the seven match series 3-3. India started the run chase on a positive note, with both Sachin and Ganguly putting 150 runs for the first wicket. Ganguly made 53. Sachin Tendulkar batted beautifully. When his century looked certain, he struggled with cramps, and later perished again in nervous 90s. Sachin scored 94 off 81 balls.

Yuvraj and Dravid did not last for long. However, Gautam Gambhir played another creditable innings of 47. After the departure of Gambhir and Yuvraj, MS Dhoni and Robin Utthappa fought hard to keep the hope alive. Dhoni made 35. Finally, it was Robin Utthappa, who clinched a near impossible win for India with his blistering knock of 47* off 33 balls. India reached the target by losing 8 wickets, thus winning the match by 2 wickets with two balls to go. Sachin Tendulkar was adjudged 'Man of the Match'. Now the final and decider ODI of this series will be held on 08 Sept at Lord's.
