India ended South Africa's Dream, reaches Semifinals

India scored an emphatic 37-run win over South Africa, the only team that remained unbeaten in the tournament so far. Ironically, this one match sealed South Africa's fate and it failed to break the World Cup jinx again. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing early wickets, the team scored 153/5 in 20 overs due to good batting performances from Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni. Rohit scored an unbeaten 50, while Dhoni made 44.
In reply, South Africa never looked threatening and surrendered before a disciplined and spirited Indian bowling and fielding. They could not even make the required 126 runs to reach the semifinals. South Africa finished at 116/9 in 20 overs. Boucher and A Morkel scored 36 runs each. For India, RP Singh took 4 wickets for just 13 runs. Rohit Sharma was declared "Man of the Match".
Australia, Pakistan, India and New Zealand qualified for the semifinals. While Pakistan will play New Zealand in the first semifinal, India will meet Australia in the second one.
